Question 🔎: Isn’t Hebrew difficult to learn?

If you learn Hebrew through conventional methods, it is certainly difficult. But there is an easier way.

Language begins with sound. It is better to first become familiar with the sounds, understand what those sounds mean, and then gradually learn grammar as questions arise.

When we learned our native language as children, do we remember it being difficult and tedious? Babies eat every day, learn to walk, and learn to speak. No baby thinks that learning his or her native language is difficult.

Hebrew classes at United Christian Seminary are not difficult either. We make it easy to learn the sounds and meanings of Hebrew, adding grammar little by little as needed.

All you need to invest is three hours every Sunday morning for six months. From the very first class, you will begin studying the actual Hebrew text of the Bible.

During the six-month course, we will study the following passages in Hebrew:

Genesis 1:1–31; Genesis 6:1–8; Genesis 11:1–9; Deuteronomy 32:1–52; Psalm 82:1–8; Ezekiel 1:1–28; Daniel 7:1–28
